Arabian Pearl Gulf School Regarding the current situation in Bahrain, we are definitely not able to focus on preparing for the IB examinations because of the stressful conditions. These days, our daily life has become very stressful. We don’t get enough sleep, and this is affecting our mental and physical health. Because of this, it is very difficult for us to study properly and prepare for the exams. I kindly ask that you consider alternative options, such as using internal assessments and predicted grades, instead of holding the IB examinations under these circumstances.

It's actually INSANE they're letting us do examinations, going to school let alone. They tried hitting A UNI AND SCHOOl in bahrain, and they're telling us to go???? Hello?

This petition is addressed to the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) and relevant educational authorities. I am an IB student from Hawar International School in Bahrain, and I am writing on behalf of many students who are currently affected by the ongoing war in the region. Due to these circumstances, IB students in Bahrain are facing serious disruptions that are affecting their ability to complete their education under fair conditions. Some students are currently outside the country and may not be able to return in time to sit for the May 2026 examinations. Others remain in Bahrain but are dealing with constant stress, uncertainty, and interruptions to their learning. These are not normal circumstances. The IB program is already highly demanding, and it is unreasonable to expect students to perform at their best while facing the effects of war, including displacement, emotional distress, and instability. This situation creates a clear imbalance, where not all students are able to prepare or sit exams under equal conditions. As a result, the fairness and integrity of the examination process are compromised. We respectfully request that the IBO take these circumstances into serious consideration and provide an alternative solution for IB students in Bahrain. This may include canceling the May 2026 examinations and using predicted grades and internal assessments, or offering a flexible assessment approach for affected students. Education should be fair and accessible to all, especially during times of crisis. Students should not be disadvantaged due to circumstances beyond their control. We urge the IBO to act with fairness, understanding, and responsibility.
