This young lady lost too much when she lost her mom.Nothing can fix that, but to take her away from her friends and the school community that can at least ease her loss would be even more tragic. Please don't do this to her.

Although I don't know all the policy surrounding this issue, this particular case seems nothing short of a no-brainer. Do the right thing for God's sake !!!!!

I believe this child and any others in a similar situation should be allowed to continue their education.

This is a caring & supportive community. I am sure our school district will do the right thing and allow Julia to remain where she is loved and supported.

The beauty of a small district like Tuckahoe is that everyone rallies for their own. This girls mother has given so much to so many kids over the years, including my own. I hope this ends well for Julia.

As a teacher I believe for the welfare of this student, she should remain where she is. Have compassion and allow her to finish her education in the school she knows.

How could they not keep her child at the school

I find it appalling that the district would even consider not allowing this student to complete her senior year. I know that there are laws and procedures in place but there must also be a loophole somewhere to make an exception.

Hasn't this child gone through enough. Loosing a mom is devastating enough...but now change her school...shame on you Tuckahoe School district.

Child is already suffering. Let her remain in his/her familiar environment.
