We should all help each other in such times. It does not make sense that eveyone has his salary cut while Repton making full profit. Thank you.

It seems strange to bother commenting on a petition you’re not signing. If you don’t want to support it that’s fine, not signing it is all you need to do. I don’t think anyone is suggesting teachers’ salaries be cut by 50%, or indeed at all. This petition is asking Repton to consider the financial hardship and stress all parents are facing, by making some sacrifices of their own.

A fee reduction is very reasonable to be expected. There are certain costs that the school is not incurring under the current circumstances and those, at the very least should passed to all families. I do believe that Repton is doing a good job overall during these difficult times.

It seems as though this petition was created in order to reduce fees/salaries but rather improve the distance learning for the children. A great shame. Teachers are doing a great job with what they have been provided/instructed to do. Yes I do believe live lessons would be far more productive as alot of other private schools as well all govt schools have been doing. But the teachers are doing a wonderful job and let's encourage them to continue with the great work they have been doing thus far. Let's look for a more practical solution where the children will be the beneficiaries!

Paying full fees for an online course is a disgrace. When everyone knows the teachers are not there, not helping and largely out the country.

I don’t want any pay cuts, but I definitely want the school to pass on some savings - we just started school in last week of Feb - so Would really appreciate so financial claw back!

I believe it is only reasonable that the school give a discount/refund for Term 3. At present, most of the teaching work is done by parents. Also, the students don't get to utilize school facilities so school is able to cut on overhead cost. My husband already suffered a pay cut. So a reduction in school fees would really be helpful to us. These is a difficult time for most, if not all of us. Hoping the school will heed parents' cry.

We are working full time for our work and full time for our kids. Students are getting the same quality at home. Moreover, for FS1 the remote learning is not making sense and not serving purpose of pre school learning. We spend money so that our kids can go school and learn interactively, which is completely missing.

I will not sign this petition for a number of factors: -I personally think that Repton are genuinely trying their best. They are open to feedback and each week they are revising what's working/not working. For example, trialing Zoom last week, the addition of Story Time each day in FS1 -In comparison to other schools Repton is giving much more and a higher quality of online learning. Other schools are sending one email a week with a list of work for the children. -I have read many of the comments below complaining that the children need help, constant supervision and support. And all I can say is, of course they do! What do you expect?! When our children are in school they are constantly supervised and supported by the teachers and teaching assistants. FS1 now have two Teaching Assistants for this very reason! There is no way teachers can do this online, it's just a fact of the situation that we are now in. We have to step up as parents and be there for our children. -As for the live teaching lessons, Repton are right now trying it! I got an invitation to a Zoom call for my child for this week. -Some people have commented that the children should have hour long lessons. I can't fathom this! Do you know what the avarge attention span is for your child? If not, Google it! Hour long lessons would be a disaster, my child would be in and out of the toilet, up and down getting a drink etc. There is no way they would sit there for an hour! Plus I remember at the parent teacher meeting, the class teacher explaining that ADEC will only allow the children to sit on the little carpets that they have for seven minutes at any one time. Maybe the teachers legally can't do lessons over 7 minutes? -As for requesting that the teachers salary should be cut by 50%. Do you honestly think that the teachers will continue to send out the work that they do and engage with our kids if their salary is cut by 50%. Of course not and I wouldn't expect them to! If they get pai
