At the moment there is a very little interaction between the pupil and the teachers as well as no interaction between pupil with their peers. This would have been bearable if the school was closed only for two weeks but now it going to be until the end of year, the school need to revisit its strategy. We have been turned by the school into teaching adjuncts. Needless to say, that many of us are busy during the day thriving to save what is left of our jobs. The natural move is that school implement tools to support the children during their daily learning and lively interact with their teachers and their peers in a virtual class. The tools are available and widely used such as Zoom, google classroom, etc. As teacher in at a Univeristy I am using this kind of tools on a daily bases to conduct my classes, devide the students in working groups in virtual rooms and follow up with the students on their projects. There are many schools in Dubai and Sharjah that are using Google classroom. I have also heard that Zoom will be used for year 5 at Repton. I am writing to you to ask if there is any plan in that direction for year 4, before escalating this issue. Many parents are unhappy about what is going on with their children at Repton. It has been a very chaotic 2 weeks for many of the parents and children as well. Repton is a high profile technology based school and for the money we have paid we expect it be ahead of the game rather than left befind. Best regards,"

I'm the father of Matar and Salama Alsadi and I agree with all the parents. And I always believe that Repton listens to the parents. So hopefully this time they can do something to support.

Agree for fee reduction. For my FS1 child, I can find more than enough Free learning/story videos online because that’s what we mostly receive in seesaw from school. I have to be with my son All the time for all the clicks and uploads and even to do the artwork. Not fair to pay full fee and the school is earning more profit during this difficult time for everyone??

This online education provided by Repton is not an adequate replacement for standard education. Repton is not even providing study materials for young children via PDF. In the past two weeks I don’t feel my child has retained any new information. Also my child can’t use Repton’s facilities, and parents have to largely do the actual teaching, at least for young children. This is not what I paid for. Repton should offer a partial refund for this term for all students, but so far it has refused to do so.

The school is asking for reenrolment fee for next year while there is no warranty children will come baco at school. In current situatiob Repton shouldn’t force parents to pay to secure place for the next year.

I appreciate your message but I need your justification for following
1-ADEK has the upper hand to decide if the schools will offer a discount or not based on facts and figures provided by school and attested by third party finicaial audit body
2-based on what you ask for 40% discount? Did you have an overview on Repton Profit/losses sheet?
3- Remote learning is to encourage kids to be self driving rather that 24/7 parent guided, did utilize this opportunity to build up this culture in our kids??
4- recently Zoom App has some serious issues in term of security and privacy., so schools should make sure that any app is 100% to our kids and thier privacy.

Discount for term three, because the parents stay at home with the kids are playing the role as full time assistant teacher for all courses.

I fully agree with the matter of this petition regarding the decrease in the 3rd semester fee in view of home learning being initiated.
