I am sorry but I don’t agree. I think the teachers are actually working longer hours to get more creative and are putting in a lot of effort to teach the children. This is out of the schools hands. I feel top management could more likely afford to take a pay cut in these times. The school should apply the 80/20 rule here as I as a parent feel we are getting 80% of the learning, a 20% refund in school fees would be more fair on the school and the school management. Ofcourse it can not compare to being in the classroom, but repton is no exception to any other school!

Under the current force major circumstances it is only fair not to charge the full tuition knowing that the children are not receiving full educational services.

Did you actually read the petition? Because nobody is talking ab pay cut for the teachers!
I SIGNED THIS PETITION for numbers of factors:
I PERSONALLY THINK that Repton is trying it’s best - but I don’t think the efforts and work done is worth 20k per term! Story time can be found on YouTube - for free!
IN COMPARISON TO OTHER SCHOOLS.- Repton is behind - I have a lot of fiends who’s kids are same age going to other schools around Abu Dhabi - and I am ashamed when they are telling me how much materials their kids are getting daily for 20k less a year..
I HAVE READ A LOT OF COMMENTS BELOW and I am relived to see I am not the only one struggling mentally and financially..
And yes - when our kids are at school - they require supervision of a teacher and couple TA’a- THATS WHAT WE PAY FOR! BUT WE DONT GET IT NOW -
DO WE?!
I am also grateful to all the teachers - I know they are doing amazing job! As a kid of a teacher I know exactly how hard it is. All I am asking for is - stop your greed, and stop making fortune on those less fortunate - just because you can. Show some humanity. Behind every signature is a desperate parent who is just trying best for their child.
We will take loans, we won’t eat, we will go grey from worrying ab our children’s future - and you are just taking advantage of our weakness and those terrible times we are going thru

Dear parents,
We understand your frustration - these are tough and unprecedented times that we face. Schools, teachers, students and parents have had to switch to e-learning out of necessity to ensure safety for everyone involved. As teachers, we are facing this difficult time as much as any of you are and trying to make the best of the situation. Everyday we try to come up with innovative ways to teach our students and and make it a great learning experience for them. We put our personal problems aside and think about how we do our jobs better and ensure our students stay up to date with the curriculum.
However, listening to comments from some parents taking their frustration out on teachers is disheartening, hurtful and frankly unnecessary. We request parents from taking their frustration out on teachers as this situation is not up to us. We also encourage parents to speak to the teachers so they can learn more about how we’re trying to innovate in these tough times, and as a result get more comfort about their children’s education.

I agree with this petition.
I would like to urge the school to consider returning all the term 3 school fees to children in fs1 and fs2.
Reception years rely mainly on teacher student interaction and learning through play and example. It is really unfair that we have paid for this term. Or parents who are yet to pay.
The children are missing out on the most important aspect which is learning by being there amongst their class mates and the teacher. E-learning does not do reception any justice. Should we withdraw our kids from reception year, And re-apply for September.
The law clearly says that from grade 1 onwards the child must complete the third term.
Which means fs1 and fs2 do not come under that.

I agree, I would not be happy to see anyone get a pay cut, however I would also not like to pay for something that I am not getting. I am sure Repton is not currently paying for a lot of things that was an expense when school was operational. I can see, remote education is much lighter version (what already was) of the education
