Arkansas State's GSA was scammed by The Buzz Kill Magazine. They came to us, offering their support for our winter drag show. However, less than a week before the event was due to happen, they told us that our venue was receiving death threats. After investigation, it was discovered that this never happened. They cut off all means of communication, getting away with at least $3000 in ticket money, as well as leaving us stranded.
This petition is to show our advisor, so that we can take this matter to the police and not be sad victims. Please share this with any ASU students or supporters. Thank you.

I have been busy putting together all the evidence so we can sit down with our advisor and figure out the next steps for the police report. It is truly humbling to see so many of you standing behind us while we try to set this right.

I am honestly stunned by the way this has taken off. This momentum belongs entirely to you and your willingness to help us fight back. Seeing this kind of support is honestly the only reason we have the confidence to move forward now.

i heard about this at school and its absolutely insane that they lied about threats just to steal the cash. go to the police.
fraud is fraud. turn them in.
this is honestly so messed up. 3000 dollars is a lot of money and they shouldnt just let this slide.
TOTAL SCAM. these people need to be held accountable for what they did to those students.
I am a former VP of the GSA and I have put on a drag show before while the VP. It's no easy task. What these kids have put into this should not be wasted on the fact that someone committed fraud and is getting away with it. Let them take this to the cops. Let them file a report. I don't care if she is one of our community, I'm a trans man and an Army Veteran and I'm appalled that the GSA hasn't already taken this to the authorities!

If this is true, the person who the fundraiser was for and the GSA deserves justice.
