Worst neighborhood I have ever lived in, supposed to be middle class area, ruined by these low life's, they should not be allowed to have dogs, they can't even look after themselves, faeces everywhere on the pavements, I only have one thing to say about these people, "Get a job" and contribute to society instead of just taking!

Drug addicts consume drugs openly on w.2nd on sidewalk or having "episodes" daily in front of building blocking pedestrians, defecating publicly and seeing human feces all over. Police sirens every few minutes all hours of the night. Constantly feeling unsafe walking past the building to go to the Cambie SkyTrain even in broad daylight nevermind after night fall. 2022 data indicating more that 700 police calls annually compared with 55 before Marguerite Ford House opened. The disease spreads to the entire False Creek neighbourhood.

Recently one resident of Marguerite Ford dumped a food container (labelled RainCity Housing) on a neighbouring property and another resident of Marguerite Ford allowed his dog to defecate on the same property without cleaning up. Jeff Colvin, the acting manager of Marguerite Ford was contact but as so often the case he could not bother to reply.

I live right cross street of 7300 Elmbridge and I strongly oppose this project. As tax payer,I don't Think this project use fund properly - it costs Way too much. As A citizen of Richmond, I am so concerned about security issue TMH might cause.

I feel sorry for Marpole TMH, and all other locations, they were right in expressing safety concerns. We should not pay high rent or high taxes and live next to this! It’s why we chose locations that once suited us, and pay the price for it! Vancouver is really sucking. Put all these people who put others at risk in a place where the working citizens can live at peace.

I live next door and constantly see ambulance and police calls to the building. I've also found discarded needles outside my front door, right in front of the neighbouring children's centre. I understand the need to help the people who live there transition out of their troubled lives but, without an initiative to get them sober, this development doesn't make sense in this neighbourhood where the residents have little chance of integrating.

Our building at 2nd and Crowe has been broken-in twice this week, Has anyone else had the same experience recently.

Live nearby and echo the same comments of my neighbors. Immediately after the doors of Marguerite Ford opened, we experienced numerous breakins and property damage, which we barely ever experienced in 20 years. The building looks like a slum building in the middle of an expensive neighborhood. It needs to be properly managed and the safety and security of the neighborhood must be addressed.

Agreed, and support programs for recovery / harm reduction should be in place.

I live 1 block away from this building and I feel extremely unsafe. I’ve seen the people living there as active drug users, stealing, break in’s, etc constantly! I’m tired of feeling unsafe. I’m tired of worrying I’ll be stabbed or step on a used needle. Those apartments should be reserved for those on social assistance who are in recovery and NOT actively using and for low income families and seniors! Not drug users. I have written to the management company about my concerns multiple times with no reply. Get rid of them!!!

Completely agreed with what has been said so far. While social housing is a proven solution, it must be properly managed to achieve desired results. There is a line between enablement and progress, and the current situation points to the former.
