Ignorance of the law is not an affirmative defense to prosecution is what we are always told. So why should there be such a thing as ""QUALIFIED IMMUNITY"" for judges, prosecutors & police? After all qualified immunity is just a fancy term for being ignorant of the law just like lobbying is a fancy term for bribing an elected official.

Why? Let's see Ryan Ferguson, Charles Erickson and all the thousands of other's wrongfully convicted due to illegal with holding evidence, coercion, and any other illegal activity by prosecuting attorney's and or judges. Let's clean up our justice system and give families justice by using actual evidence to convict the real killer's!

Immunity should never have been available to those in power, particularly government and law enforcement. They like all other american's are governed by the Constitution.

They need to be held responsible of wrongdoing, If there is no law governing the goverment then it becomes easy for for the government to not care if they are wrong or lie just to convict.

It is way past time to correct the wrong. The US Constitution states "NO MAN IS ABOVE THE LAW" This means COPS, PROSECUTORS, and JUDGES. Guards in jails and Prisons are not above the law either. Their would have to face the same punishment they imply on others. Evansville, IN and the prison is Indiana are getting money hunger and think they do not have to obey the law.

Repeal Immunity laws and you will see a rapid decline in wrongful convictions.
Until we start holding our representatives, whether in the legal or political system, accountable for bad/illegal/malicious actions, we have no hope of truth and justice within our system.

Immunity from the laws is a license to violate the laws. No one is exempt.

No one is above the law and if we are to live by example, then put these guys in prison also. Otherwise no one else should be going to prison either.

ALL people must be held accountable for their actions rather than being protected from prosecution. Most especially those people who hold such immense power.

The Rule of Law says no man is above the law. We need to make police accountable for their actions and not the taxpayer.

Until these unethical, morally bankrupt judicial officers are sanctioned for their actions they will continue to harm the people they are supposed to represent. They MUST be held accountable.
