This should be a personal choice. Not a mandate.

The state cannot afford to lose foster parents when there is already a need for more foster families. To lose quality families over something as unproven as the flu vaccine is not a good move in my opinion. Causing kids who are currently placed with families who will change their licensing to over 2 years old rather than get this shot to have to go through more change and trauma is not in the best interests of the children. A child can get the flu from several sources. Please repeal this mandate.

close doctor friends will not allow their families to get the flu shot as it is so toxic and 65% of people that get it are sicker than those who do not get it. The state should not be allowed to require a optional medical procedure that can harm people.

It is not appropriate to require foster families to get an influenza vaccine. It is toxic and also is usually ineffective. The state needs MORE foster homes, not LESS as would be the case becuase many people will refuse to get that horrible shot.

We are foster parents and will likely close our license as the ridiculous requirements on how we parent our own bio children are getting levels we cannot tolerate. We will not be getting the flu vaccine and will likely close our license instead.

There are more important things to worry than forcing flu shots that don't stop the flu because the flu that is going around isn't the strain they vaccinate for anyway. Stop wasting time and resources on the frivility of it all and get back to helping the children who need loving homes not necessarily a vaccinated one.

the flu vaccine does not guarantee prevention of the flu. It is a guess as to which strain they vaccinate for, and this year they guessed incorrectly. For those with allergies our placements are in danger of being moved. To require foster parents to get the flu vaccine is not okay.

I was so glad to see this petition. As I was at the store this morning it wade heavy on my heart that I will be having to put up a fight in my right to make my own decisions on getting the flu shot. I will refuse and what to do, our plan has changed to adoption. I have been sick twice followed by two flu shots in the past. I had the choice in Oct to give our foster baby a shot, why don't I have the choice? I asked the Dr. if they can guarantee it and she said No. So many different flu viruses out there so they do use the most recent flu that was the previous flu season. I work for a federal and state program, working with 0-5 year old children and my right is not taken from me they recommend the flu shot.
