This should not be a requirement, perhaps a suggestion with FREE shots offered if a family would like to do so.

I absolutely agree with you about making a stand against the mandatory flu vaccine. As you mentioned, the children need homes to live in, be loved in, and taken care of. They need us. If we allow them to dictate this, what's next? We have already proven ourselves to be responsible adults capable of caring for children or we wouldn't have our licenses. Our babies have been in care for 2 weeks and we are their second placement. Do they really want to disrupt their lives yet again because our family refuses to get a flu shot? Really?!? So much for the children being so important to them. I work for a hospital and we aren't mandated to get a flu shot there. There are options available if we choose not to vaccinate. We won't lose our jobs, which is essentially what will happen to foster parents of littles who refuse to vaccinate. We will no longer be able to care for the age range we are comfortable with and capable of caring for. This isn't about safety of the children; it's about control, and our family for one refuse to comply!

Getting our foster care license has certainly been an education and I find it disturbing that there are so many children who need care and not enough foster homes, yet "the system" is doing everything possible to discourage people from fostering (or encouraging them to stop fostering) with all of the hoops they/we have to jump through just to get licensed.

no matter what FDA or CDC say, I believe the flu vaccine is a risky practice and the dangers do not outway the "good". No mandatory vaccines for anyone!

Any state that imposes the forced sujbugation of its populace to any medical procedure is a medical dictatorship. Anyone who has done a modicum of independent research knows that the flu vaccine is not only ineffective, and that we are fed "bogus" stats re. REAL influenza cases, but that the vaccine can pose serious short and long-term hazards. Pu$hing vaccines has nothing to do with the public health and everything to do with the revolving door between the powerful pharmacheutical lobby and

Please stop the senseless push. The flu vaccine is proven to be faulty. It should never be forced!

If all, or even a substantial number, of foster families refused, the state might be taken aback and wondering where to put all those returned children. You should realize that just because you have to jump through hoops to be a foster family doesn't mean that they don't need you at least as much as you need them. Time to take a stand for freedom. It isn't death after all, which many have suffered for freedom. Yes, hurt, inconvenience, maybe even loss of income, but not death.

I strongly oppose any mandate requiring foster parents and their family members to get any vaccine. Extreme allergy to certain vaccines runs in our family, and the flu vaccine is not shot we get. Not to mention the amount of people that I've met that never had the flu until getting the vaccine. This isn't something the government should be able to force on people working with foster children.
