Oh, we have a right to not have invasive and unhealthy medical procedures, including vaccinations, forced upon us, especially those of us holding up the entire foster care system -- parents.

Some people have autoimmune conditions which the flu shot may cause harm to the individual. Government should not force this upon the people. Infringement of personal freedoms.

Getting a flu shot (or any vaccine for that matter) is a PERSONAL decision and should NEVER be FORCED on anyone! The agencies involved should be grateful that these families are willing to go through the rigorous process to become a foster family! Taking in children who need a safe home already puts enough stress on the family. Putting additional medical requirements on ALL family members is ridiculous and unnecessary!

The flue vaccine has been proven to not be a good match this year for the strains going around. Why force anyone to take something not proven to work!

As a nurse I think it should be left up the medical doctor, foster parent and DSHS team to determine if the child needs the Influenza vaccine. Many children come into foster care without current vaccines and then once they get the flu vaccine (hoping it is for the correct strand and barring that they have to allergies to how it is made) are already have comprimised immune systems. Why would you want a child to become more ill due to a vaccine that can be better controlled with medical docotor recommendation at such an early age. Just food for thought.

this is RIDICULOUS! The state is low in foster parents and they want to take them away for lack of vaccination rights? How stupid!

2 times I received the flu shot and I became very ill and had to go to the hospital. So I either have to become ill and possibly die to provide foster children a loving home or give up my dream of becoming a foster parent with my husband!? This is insane!
