This seems like a Poinless thing to ban in the Bemidji. Would also limit the economic benifit of any money we spend on the lakeside trails.

Sick of this town sometimes. Even trying to stop the homeless shelter being brought in. Bah.

I am unable to stand on a skateboard. I suck at it! But I know many who use it to get around. We should be encouraging everyone to get outside and be active. Instead of punishing everyone...perhaps set limitations instead of an across the board ban. I did not know this was a real thing and I am upset to hear that it is.

I support repealing this ban. Kids and adults should be allowed to use alternative means of transportation. Especially considering gas proces and expenses of owning a vehicle. Not to mention the healty lifestyle that this would promote.

My 14 year old son enjoys using his skateboard for transportation. He is afraid to use his skateboard because he might get in trouble with the police.

Anyone in their right mind would NOT ban outdoor recreation that is being done in such a manner that is NOT causing any harm nor disrespect or themselves or any structures within their vicinities. Get it right Bemidji. This is getting old city council!

Don't include inline skates in this ban--many people skate around the lake for recreation and training, and it would be a HUGE hassle for these athletes to have to find a way to bypass downtown. Skating around the lake is way too popular and HARMLESS for skating to be banned downtown. Don't ban harmless recreationists!

I live downtown and I'm not going to drive 2 blocks to avoid downtown. This, among other ridiculous downtown rules, is the main reason I cannot wait to move out of Bemidji and Beltrami county. There are bigger, more important things to worry about.
