My wife and I are on a tight fixed income. We just bought our home in 2017 and you are forcing us to struggle and we may have to sell. Our income is not going up. We saved of 37 years to buy here and this is our dream home. Shame on you.

A 30 to 50% basis increase above the states net zero required calculation is not acceptable to many of us who can least afford it STR owners can raise their rates, FT residents do not have revenue flexibility like STRs who also deduct those taxes as "expenses". Double win for STRs. Bad for FT owners. A 1or 2 % increase is normal, what Town Council did is arrogance.

The market is over inflated , the value will drop significantly in the next 12 months , we should not have pay taxes on our property that are at the current prices , if the want to use those values then they need to drop the millege rate.

Beyond that, I think it's ridiculous that part-time residence are paying so much in taxes and getting so little of the tax benefits.

We have many residents on a fixed income for which such an increase would prove catastrophic. As others have stated here, increases on an annual basis should be limited to no more than 5 to 10%. There should be some degree of foresight as to large costs to the town anticipated over the next 3 to 5 years and the cost of which should be amortized over several years to soften the impact on taxpayers.

I believe the council has moved too quickly on this matter and they are approving a tax burden that is inappropriate and not needed.

Most taxing authorities have limits to the amount that taxes can be increased in any 5-year period. Max 15% and no more than 5% in any one year. Beech is waayyy out of line.

I believe the proposed budget will hurt the Beech Mt Residents as the current property valuation is unsustainable . It could lead to foreclosures or abundance of properties hitting the market for sale driving property values down

I think this budget pads the reserves excessively. Given the continual creep upward in price of the utility bills (including capital fees), it seems like this amount of increase likely was not necessary to keep up the great progress on infrastructure improvements.
