We need to protect ourselves legally. Criminals don't care about the law. You hurting a lot of decent people with this law. And it haven't stopped any crimes.

For the time being I have been on active duty serving in the US Air Force. Myself as well as my command have just learned I cannot have or be around firearms. This amendment will cost me a my AF career.

They took my firearms over domestic violence and it was a misdemeanor charge which isn't right now they say with me being in possession of one that I could be facing prison time if they decide to take it to federal court but they also said I can own and purchase a muzzle loader 50 caliber how stupid is that bigger than the gun I had.

Made a one time mistake several years ago and was unaware of such law. Found out from trying to sign up for the National Guard. Was told I was ineligible unless amendment was abolished or amended.

Happen to me 15 yrs ago and no trouble since. I even had the court that issued the conviction drop the DV designation and being told I am ineligible to have a firearm or be a peace officer.

If you cannot repeal it then at least amend it and give people their rights back after 5 years of a clean record or something to that effect.
