If my daughter gets sick because you force her to wear a mask YOU WILL be held accountable!

You would think college students would have a say what is best for their own health, especially being the ones paying for their education in the first place. I would also see decisions for a Lutheran higher education university be grounded in Scripture, which I have seen no evidence of. Our supposed “uncommon” identity should be shining through in these times of trouble. We should be the pillar for living not by lies. We should respect individual sovereignty and inalienable rights. We should be grounded in God’s word above all. We should not be fearing C19 above all, and we should not be trusting in the CDC above all, because those are the false gods of our society (and apparently CUW). Moreover, where is the “data” and “science” supporting this mandate? Trusting the CDC has proven counterproductive as recommendations change with the wind. I have yet to see data showing the effectiveness of masks. So grounding mask mandates on CDC guidelines does not make sense. Please consider the feedback of the individuals funding the University, and the parents supporting them.

This is definitely Infringing on the students education. I feel all adults should be in charge of their own health and not the government.

If I’m capable enough to pay 40k in tuition a year, I am capable enough to decide if I need to wear a mask or not, especially without a mandate in place for our area.

As a parent, I was extremely disappointed to learn of the forced masking and the daily tracker. I thought CUW was going to be a place that administration led with independent, critical thinking and faith over fear. The forced wearing of cloth masks is not supported by the data and we now know -18 months later- is not effective. The virus particles are small enough to get through. It should be a personal choice determined by each adult student. This virus does not affect students of the college age group in a significant way. The daily tracker is a slap in the face for intelligent college students. They know by now to stay home if they are sick, and a punitive daily tracker will only serve to make stressed students more miserable. Please look beyond these ineffective procedures that we expect to find at other colleges but not at a college like CUW. Please consider the unintended consequences and your students’ mental and emotional well-being. Please reconsider. Thank you.

Give us the right to make our own choices about our health. It’s called freedom.

I should be allowed to choose whether I want to wear a mask if I’ve been vaccinated.

Easiest decision I’ve ever made.
