As a retired public school teacher it is immensely important that his Act be repealed as we have all seen how divisive and toxic charters have been to our public schools ... They drain them of the resources that are more than necessary ... and their proponents have spent the better part of the last 10 years beating up teachers as greedy & incompetent so that now we look at a shortage of teachers from new ranks cos really who would really want that abuse on a regular basis. ENOUGH is so enough ... REPEAL NOW ...

I don't get why taxpayers are paying for for-profit schools. The money should be supporting schools for all taxpayers. The limiting factor in a schools' success is not the teachers, it's poverty. We need to ensure that all students get the same opportunities.

I had a bad experience with a public charter school in Sebastopol, CA: Orchard View. My daughter was unfairly dismissed from this school-we are filing a complaint with the school district.

Charter schools are taking money away from public schools and have no better performance records. Get rid of them!
