I support real public schools. Instead of attacking them we should work toward improving public education and bring real democracy to the community and the work place.

We need to eliminate the charter schools and the elite, politically connected, corrupt, colluding people behind the scenes getting even richer than they were - exploiting the low income, under served communities - they claim they want to educate. They don't want smart youth in the future, who'd challenge them. Letting this group of grant stealing thieves monopolize the school system, without oversight of any kind, should be considered a crime against humanity.

Small communities cannot afford to have charter & public schools. Closing local public schools because of the dilution of moneys available are a death knell for a community.

Charter schools are a huge issue in small communities also. They threaten to close small public schools, which can and will be detrimental to a community. In small towns with few businesses that are barely hanging on, closing a school will cause a domino effect on those small businesses.

The destruction of the public schools is a giant step toward the demise of democratic governance.
