Children and their education are the victims of profiteering in the charter and voucher runaway train. Stop the fraud by supporting public schools and the hopes and dreams of ALL children.

Charter School are evil. I worked on for for seven year and witness the greed and immoral doings of the higher ups who ran the money making business. I say money making business because that exactly what it is.

Charter schools have ruined or historic urban school through their cherry picking of students and then release of their undesired students after norm day and before year end testing every year.

In 1992 Charter Schools were community based alternatives to district controlled schools. In 2015, Charter Schools are corporate franchises that do not have community buy in nor do they have any oversight or accountability. Many charter schools and their leaders are under indictment for criminal malfeasance and misappropriation of public money. Stop siphoning money from public education and repeal the 1992 Charter School Act.

At my daughters school we have had nothing but bad experiences with the charters that have come there...Everything from their kids wandering the neighborhood because they exited thru their open door to a child being hosed down naked on campus to their parents in our children's bathrooms...it's just a bad situation all around....

Charter schools come from and encourage racism and other unhealthy separations within American society. We must learn to get along together in better ways. Public schooling helps to achieve this goal.

hoping more activists, teachers/parents community groups get on board to help launch this petition drive-- It will take statewide - + new groupings ,
forces doing tag-teaming /work with boots on ground.

Charter schools are not accountable and are not in our best interests. They are a way to take our freedom and to wipe out real education. Just read the DOE studiy on Florida, California and Arizona.

I have witnessed increased segregation due to the existence of charter schools. I want all public schools in CA to be well-funded, integrated, and to employ well-prepared, professionally paid, and experienced teachers. We should not have a three tiered system that segregates our students and communities. Our country and state need empathy and shared resources if we are going to keep our civilization strong.
