The Charter school industry consists of profiteers bolstered by psedo- academics that make baseless claims regarding the true inequities, ineffectiveness and down right corruption inherent in charter schools! Follow the money back to the oligarchs like Eli Broad, Michael Milkin, etc.. Charters school operators are scam artists that fleece local school disticts of their public schools' vital funds with no accountability. This must stop and we must instead start investing in our young ones and our communities especially those that are home to underprivleged students and their families!

This is an obscene attempt to usurp a public institution by some of the most entitled and greedy individuals in the U.S.. Unelected officials are not entitled to influence policy with their wealth.

I will certainly sign for the initiative and vote for it if it gets on the ballot. I can't collect signatures, though.

The best asset of a democratic society is a public school system. It needs to be more fair and equal but not replaced by privatized education.

Let's send a clear message to Bill/Melinda Gates, The Broad Corporation, and all the other corporations looking to create mindless automatons serving their whims that California schools are here to serve the people. El pueblo, unido jamas sera vencido!

Give our traditional public schools a chance to thrive and grow while corporate interests are asking us to invest in their privately backed education chains.

I have seen the devastating effects of a local charter school with a terrible waste of taxpayer money to the Director (over 250K) and the toxic environment that drove out veteran teachers.

Charter schools need to be regulated and scrutinized more strongly than public schools. They're not serving our youth well, but they are absconding in billions of public education monies at the expense of public schools and the students served in those schools.

We must stop charter chains from systematically destroying our democratic voice in public works!
