My ancestors(23 ) had to fight to protect their families and farms in their own country!! Suffered through 4 years!!

The Yankees distroyed private property. Looted. Robed. Killed and raped innocent Southern citizens.

One of my ancestors was killed by typhoid during this war, another was imprisoned by the Yankees for two years. The rest of the family was left destitute for generations. Too many people suffered needlessly.

I could be working in a much stronger economy right now if it weren't for the North's barbaric policy of total war. The blockade, burning and looting left the South's economy completely decimated for decades. I feel "entitled" to reparations.
