Repair Alderney’s Runway NOW!

I've visited the beautiful island of Alderney multiple times, and by air is the only practical way for me to do so. It would be a huge loss from a tourism perspective if this were no longer to be possible, and I'm sure a much greater direct loss for the residents.

As Alderney native I know this is absolutely essential

I visit multiple times each year, bringing first time visitors often. The airport needs to be kept going.

Alderney needs this.

It would be a disaster for this island if the airport closed. The tourists industry would collapse and the viability of the island disastrous.

We need a safe airport!

Alderney is a beautiful place to visit and so nice to be able to fly to. I can't imagine how the island could survive without an operational airport.

As a pilot who has enjoyed the pleasure of flying into the lovely island of Alderney, I fully understand the importance of of this vital connection to adjoining islands, the French mainland and the uk Closure of the runway will isolate the island and cause great harm and hardship to the Islanders through loss of income and gradual strangulation of the life out of Alderney. Invest in the future now.

It is ridiculous that Guernsey have reversed their original decision. It is an essential service, not a luxury for the people of Alderney

Repair the runway! It’s important. Improve airfares with an extension as well.

Transport links are the answer to island prosperity. Without them you cannot expect trade, travel or trourism.

This is a grave situation affecting the islands economy and the safety of its residents

Alderney hasn’t seemingly the financial strength to survive without visitors. Most of the latter arrive by air, as there is no comparable boat service. If that proves not possible because of Alderney airport issues, not only will holidaymakers suffer but also the island’s economy..
