We, the undersigned, request that the recent closures of LICH sponsored School-Based Health Clinics be reversed and have all clinics reopened with their operating licenses reinstated. These clinics are an invaluable resource to the community and their loss is palpable. Without these clinics many families will be forced to rely solely on emergency services for their health care needs, and in the current state of the economy this will not be an affordable option for most. Furthermore, these clinics were essential in combating the recent outbreak of H1N1. With the recent announcement by President Obama that we may see another outbreak this fall, it is essential that these clinics be reopened.
