Don't let these thugs hold UCT hostage. Bring in the security that is needed to uphold the other student's right to study!

students who want to complete their studies must have the right to attend their lectures, exams, etc. the university must ensure that it provides the service that students paid for.

I feel so very strongly that enough is enough, the issues certainly need to be addressed and I believe that the various stakeholders will be proactive in this regard. Nothing however is going to be resolved overnight and in the interim it is vital that those students who are serious about their studies are allowed to exercise their right to do so without being disrupted and having their physical safety threatened.

I suggest that all parents chaperone their children to varsity on Monday & stand at the lecture theatres to prevent any disruptions. That way, protesters will know that we're also a force to be reckoned with.
