I need more guidelines on facial protocols and eye lash extension applications for the state of Illinois. I can't go back to work because I am high risk. We need answers!

I had been practising facials in NZ sice May 16th with full PPE and constant sanitisation all done safely. We are lucky enough now to be in the position of working freely. I can't imagine how crippling it would be to business and mental wellbeing to still not even be practising, my heart goes out to you beautiful people ❤ I whole heartedly support the move to open knowing the care & protection that salons will take as nobody would want to prolong this nightmare virus!

C’mon! Let clients keep mask on until it comes to lip/chin area & then cover just lip and the nose or something. We’re not idiots. We all want safety but when the esthetician keeps her mask &/or face shield on, & the client also does until absolutely necessary, let them open!
If you look at the other services, i.e., cosmetic dentistry, cosmetic services ( lip fillers, etc.) that are opening, this just doesn’t make sense.

Agreed! We are built on health, safety and sanitation. Our state board exams consist of mostly this.

I am also a Spa Business owner and Lead Aesthetician. We have been open for over a month now and IT IS is POSSIBLE to be safe while performing services and following all guidelines to prevent and protect us and clients from covid. As Georgia Louise has already demonstrated this is what we are all doing, as well as an additional 15 minutes in between facials/treatments to disinfect/sanitize all high touch areas. I hope to see all of the spa industry open up soon. Sending major positive vibes your way

We as an industry are every bit Essencial as a dentist a nurse a doctor or food store. We went to school, got a license to practice facials! We are one on one, strict sanitizing, temperature taking, following all the guidelines!!! We need to work, our clients are begging for help on their skin. I don’t want to lose my practice. Our numbers are down!!! Please please let us work!

Please allow us to go back to work. We practice sanitary procedures always prior to covid. If anything we can be trusted much more than others that are just now adding sanitary protocols to their everyday.

I am licensed in three states for almost 30 years practicing esthetics and use vigorous sanitation and sterilization methods for the safety of all patrons. We in the spa industry are outstanding professionals that can reopen safely. Reopen now

There is no safer place than in esthetics room, in controlled environment with all additional ppe's.
