Montgomery County should be modeling diligent oversight when police over-react. This example of poor judgment by an officer cost a human life. There need to be consequences, starting with suspension of the officer until a proper review by an independent panel can be conducted. Without this, police act with impunity and too many citizens of this county are at risk of the next example of a police officer thinking that a badge and a gun put them above the law.

Robbie was shot in broad daylight while walking in his neighborhood by an off-duty white cop who found him "suspicious. The cop initiated and escalated the contact and shot Robbie in the back.

This case should be investigated by an independent body other than the police. It is outrageous that someone just walking in the street can died in the hand of those we are suppose to protect us. Too many blacks are being killed by police in this country with no apparent justice. It is a shame in our history.
