We all know that energy conservation is the most valuable tool in reducing energy costs and reducing the carbon footprint in the U.S.. We do not want or need CapX2020 crossing our state. We do not want to pay the cost of these transmission lines to supply energy for other parts of the country.

The line will not help our local area, our region, or our state. The current infrastructure will work for years to come as more energy efficient products come out and demand continually decreses.

With energy usage actually going DOWN in most cases, where is the need for this high voltage line locally or even regionally? Its just not there. So much so that even XCEL has asked for higher electric rates due to the reduced demand.

The need more invasion of more power lines has not been justified. The value of peace, beauty and perservation of open spaces are values equal to or greater than standard economics and fuel.

Please don t destroy a beautiful area. The way the route zig-zags is ridiculous. Having one view ruined isn't enough. We would have two sides to look at.

Conservation of energy use benefits people directly, saving them money and improving their lives with improved living conditions. Energy conservation also creates local skilled jobs and protects our local environment and well beyond.

Perhaps Wisconsin needs a Public Service Commission rather than a Utility Service Commission
