The sooner these stairs are repaired, the sooner all the other stairs an be repaired also, (the ones that are left).

'Sonoma County hasn't identified funds yet'...yeah right...They are waiting for TSR to pay for it. We send them enormous sums in property taxes and TOT money...and close to nothing comes back. I think it's obvious what is going on here. They are waiting us out until we pony up the money to pay for it ourselves. Shameful.

Sonoma County's response to this issue has reportedly been "no county funds have yet been identified for this repair". Yet they just approved new funding for 75 Regional Parks projects over the next year alone. Why is there no money earmarked to maintain/repair the unsafe access at Stengel and Black Point Beach? As someone noted earlier, “In the rush to expand SoCo parks, let’s not overlook the need to maintain what we already have."

It's long past time to restore the safety of the stairs leading to Stengel Beach. Don't wait until somebody gets hurt or worse. Put our tax dollars to work!
