This not only interferes with the livelihood of our musicians, but with the safety of anyone walking these streets during the day. If you can still close Bourbon to traffic at night, you can close Royal during the day.

I've been to New Orleans as a tourist more than once and Royal St Pedestrian Mall music always has been a wonderful location to explore original New Orleans music and creativity. Streets and cars are everywhere in the world, but musical heritage and culture is unique in New Orleans. Please reopen this Pedestrian Mall and help musicians and tourists to meet and mingle in this fine open air venue.
