Using people's fear of " security" and safety to unilaterally make sweeping changes to the culture of the Quarter that effects not only street performers, but businesses as well, especially if the changes do not in any way actually make us any safer, is just underhanded. Please stop selling us out.

One of the highlights of my annual visit to New Orleans is walking down Royal without traffic. Please reinstate the no traffic rule for this quintessential part of New Orleans.

Royal street had been exclusive until the barricades were pulled. Please reinstate or we will have nothing but t shirt shops and crap. ' Homeland security' excuse is a lie. Parking money grab is obvious. At the expense of visitors, locals and all business... Your safety has been compromised by meter maid lovin politicians.

If you all are trying to kill the French Quarter you are doing a good job. You've killed of most of the flavor of the Quarter for years with all the regulations and restrictions on the very stuff of New Orleans - the street music after 8. By concentrating all the people onto Bourbon St, you invite heavy drinking instead of listeners enjoying live music ALL over the Quarter instead of the recorded crap blaring out of t-shirt shops. Shameful.
