Walking down Royal Street has always been one of my favorite activities in this city. The lure of live music, a different sound on every block, made the street enticing. Being able to stroll carefree from boutique, to gallery, to coffee shops is a joy that will be thoroughly missed in this city. Don't let the unique culture of this city disappear. Bring back the pedestrian mall.

We are far more likely to get murdered by one of our many local criminals than any chance of a terrorist attack. Music and Culture is PRECISELY what the attacks in Paris were meant to target and diminish. You are playing right into their agenda while still failing at keeping us safe from the dangers that lurk on our doorsteps. I'm way more scared of a 13-year-old with a pistol in Nola than I am of Islamic extremists!

Seeing yes ma'am on this very street was by far the best experience I had on my first visit to New Orleans. It would be a shame if others were denied the same pleasure.
