The facts are clear, covid is not a large threat to students, but isolation, lack of in-person instruction is. Follow the CDC guidelines!!! Follow psychologists. This feels like an easy out for the district at the expense of students. The long term consequences and risks far outweigh ANY Covid Evidence of impacts on children. What about children who are abused st home, whose parents can't help them? Etc. Etc. That this is even a consideration not to be in person is wreckers. STUDENTS come first. It is clear that is not the case right now. Please RECONSIDER.

Our kids need to be back in school in person. Online school in the spring was not sufficient for learning. Some things like science labs, music, art, social skills, sports can’t be taught online. Our kids are missing out on essential learning for all of our futures, and they are, unfairly, having to bear the burden of this disease.

We survived the swine flu, look at the stats from that year. It was Global and millions died globally and we didn’t do anything like this. I do believe we should be smart, implement better hygiene protocols, and require daily screenings and require vaccine when it is developed.
