Ny rising just stopped returning our calls. We just became invisible

My son had worked for a company that was lifting the homes. Amazing process! Reopen the Rising program. I'm sure some people were in shock for a long time. Erin Construction did a lot of the work south of Montauk Hwy.

This is a program that should have been implemented before Hurricane Sandy

iTS UNFORTUNATE THAT THIS PROGRAM AND THE PEOPLE RUNNING IT, HAVE MADE THE SYSTEM TO HELP PEOPLE SO COMPLICATED ND CONTRADIC+TORY. WHILE WE ALL HAVE LEARNED LESSONS ABOUT SOME OF THE WASTEFUL SPENDING IN TRYING TO REBUILD NEW ORLEANS AFTER KATRINA, I BELIEVE THAT THE SYSTEM IS SO COMPLICATED THAT UNLESS YOU HAVE YOUR OWN MONEY TO REBUILD, AND CAN WAIT FOR REIMBURSEMENT, THE PROGRAM JUST DOES NOT WORK WELL. THERE ARE TOO MANY PROFITEERS MAKING MONEY, (IE, SOME, NOT ALL, CONTRACTORS) THE PEOPLE WHO REALLY NEED HELP ARE LEFT WANTING OR SETTLING, AND WALKING AWAY IN DISGUST. THERE HAVE BEEN SO MANY WONDERFUL GROUPS WHO HAVE TRIED TO HELP, ITS A SHAME THAT PROFITEERS ALWAYS FIND A WAY TO CORRUPT THE SYSTEM. HOW MANY NEW MILLIONAIRES HAVE BEEN CREATED AT THE LOSS OF SO MANY HOMEOWNERS

I didn't know about the program till just recently. I called them and was told that it's closed.and when the last snow storm came and water started to rise I was scared so much couldn't sleep all night,it was really scary.i like to sign the petition .

We would love any assistance with navigating out of this mess; so many Long Islanders are still struggling since Hurricane Sandy hit over three years ago.

Many home owners are still in desperate need of these services

It has been made so complicated to apply. It should be a one visit no complications

You need to reopen enrollment. I never signed up because I felt that it was only if you needed your home raised which I didn't. I now hear you are reimbursing for bulkheads and I am screwed because I never signed up? My neighborhood is getting paid and I can't because I don't need my house raised? This is wrong! Please reopen enrollment and be honest!

There is still much work left undone since Sandy. In our home, other residences and in local infrastructure.

I stopped the process because after 3 case workers, endless paperwork and phone calls from various NY Rising Employees that had no idea about where I was at, or doing or what was discussed previously.

Very important program. Lets help those still in need by signing this petition.
