I would like one person from high up in the MTA to just come to take a look at this station. It is the most depressing thing I have ever seen. The paint is peeling so badly from the ceiling, I wonder how much of it has lead in it and if kids ever eat it. I am certain that if anyone from the office ever came down to see that station they would be embarrassed!

I have 2 public middle school age children who travel from this station every day and who do not feel safe because of the deteriorating, dirty and unsafe appearance of the station. It is bad enough giving to go down 4 long flights of stairs and be so far underground besides having to be in such a hostile dirty environment. I worry for me daughters severe allergies with all the peeling paint and decades of dust and grime . The restricted platform is unsafe and only allows passage on the yellow platform line.

This station is a DUMP. At least open that escalator! How long could that possibly take? Ridiculous.

Escalator repair is beyond belief time wise and it is dangerous getting off and on the subway where the temporary plywood facade was built. It is also filthy always and often flooded on the mid level. How can this be left so badly cared for? Rats walking around! Isn't there a manager. Doesn't someone clean. Why is it taking so long for repairs?

This station is so filthy, disgusting, depressing and riddled with so much problems. It's ashamed that such conditions exist and as long as it has - it's in real desperate need of major repairs

No elevator for people going up either. With all the bus stations in the area it is an embarrassment. MTA wake up and serve the people like you are supposed to.

I take this station every day to school unless i have the time to walk to Delancy street because I hate it so much. It is dangerous and there is no room to walk on the restricted platform because of the work they are doing on the elevator which has gone on for ever and doesnt look like it will ever be completed. I always see rats and the place is filthy and paint is falling down everywhere and i am sure that i am breathing in terrible air from all the dust and dirt and probably peeling paint and most likely asbestos and other horrible things. It is the last stop in Manhattan and then my friends who live in Brooklyn have such clean and cheery subway stations on the F train. it is like a joke when you tell people you live at the east broadway stop on the F train. no one wants to get out at that station. besides that it is so many flights or stairs down and dark and cavernous - it is FILTHY and scary.

I have lived here for 11 years. I have watched as other stations on the f line were renovated. I have watched as more people than ever use the East Broadway sa
The East Broadway station complex is badly in need of renovation, probably more so than any other NYC subway stop I know of.
