There is now a large amount of some kind of unknown fungus eating up the Southern-most part of the wall at the Brooklyn Bound platform.

are you letting it crumble because there are city projects nearby, not upscale housing?

I am one of those elderly who spends hours on the bus avoiding the subway due to its unhealthy, unsafe state of affairs. Please do something.

The East Broadway Subway station is an insult to every person who has to enter it. I moved here 15 years ago, and the ceiling has never been painted, and the walls have never been washed. This is an instance of the MTA making a decision to neglect a station because they think the people who use it don't have the money or power to be worth the investment. It is disgusting. There is a pool on one of the landings that has never dried out in 15 years! I have photographs I'd be delighted to share. Thank you for this petition.

Even though it is the most convenient station for me to use as a woman travelling alone it makes me feel unsafe and I avoid it. Furthermore it is unsanitary. The urine and constant flooding encourage the spread of vermin. It aslo seems that there are drug dealers that hang out at the Madison/Essex entrance.

It is inexcusable that this LES subway station has been neglected for so long. Perhpas it is becuase of the higher density of lower income residents that use it. This station would not exist in mid-town, UWS or UES in this condition.
