I love this show so, so much. I love the story, the characters, and the music. I love how all these three things are able to interconnect with one another and produce something so magical, so inspiring, for the viewers back home. It saddens me that The Get Down doesn't receive as much praise as other Netflix originals, but I hope that if this show gets renewed for a second season, that it would become more popular and would finally receive the worldwide recognition and acclaim it deserves.

this is the only show that shows black and latinx kids as complex human beings. its genuine and true and all the characters have great potential. it also has a great storyline for dizzee and his sexuality. it is a wonderful show and deserves to be renewed!

This is literally my favourite show right now. It's so amazing. Talented diverse cast, heart wrenching story, incredible music, beautifully shot, omg the outfits, and a million other cool things. It needs a season 2!
