Renewed Production in North America and Europe of Robotech/Macross IP by Harmony Gold Productions

Collectively, we as fans of both of the Japanese animation series, Super
Dimensional Fortress Macross (by Studio Nue/Tatsunoko/Big West), and
the Robotech franchise (as edited and created by Carl Macek, license
currently held by Harmony Gold Productions) formally petition Harmony
Gold Productions for the following: formally convey genuine interest and
resume cooperation between themselves and Tatsunoko/Big West/Studio Nue
regarding intellectual properties in North America and Europe,
pertaining specifically to the subsequent and future released products
of the Super Dimensional Fortress Macross series, along with renewed
business transparency and creative efforts on its own licensed property,
the Robotech Saga (originally having utilized the compiled works of
Super Dimensional Fortress Macross, Super Dimension Calvary Southern
Cross, and Genesis Climber M.O.S.P.E.A.D.A under license by Tatsunoko
Studios), as created in the United States by Carl Macek. The intent of
this petition is that Harmony Gold Productions will eventually
distribute both products of the Super Dimensional Fortress Macross and
Robotech Saga properties, or exempting this, will cooperate with
distributors who have expressed both interest and intent to do so.
It
has been readily identified and confirmed that the following grievances
have been committed in the past by Harmony Gold Productions creative,
operational, and legal management with regard to said intellectual
properties:
1. Abuse and neglect of intellectual property rights of said series, through cease and desist letters of spurious claims
2. Unethical litigation over distribution rights
3. Unethical fundraising and/or crowd-funding
4. Lack of creative and management oversight for said properties
5. Recurring communications and public relations issues
6. Abuse of consumers' trust
As
such, we the fans/consumers express skepticism and doubt in regards to
Harmony Gold Productions' current intent and overall business practices.
However, we believe that meeting the intent and purposes of
this petition would do considerable good to renew consumer trust in
Harmony Gold Productions, especially in regards to owned licenses and
any expressed intent to produce new products for said licenses. And it
is also our belief that Harmony Gold Productions would benefit
financially with the backing of enthusiastic consumers, and keep them in
good standing publicly.
