Ms. Do's tenacity to secure scholarships from the Shea Foundation, not only for renovations to the school, but councilors has been amazing. She stepped in as principal seamlessly after Mr. Climaco left and navigated the tumultuous period after Covid-19. It is astounding to me that this petition is even necessary because someone is even considering not renewing Ms. Do's contract. This is a small community of like minded parents that want both a good education and strong foundation in Catholicism. This isn't a large anonymous public school, if Ms. Do's contract is not renewed, we are owed an explanation.

I was a student at St. Linus from ages 4-13 years old. I had Ms. Do as a teacher for four years and she did a outstanding job. Mrs. Romero had to leave suddenly for heart surgery and Ms. Do stepped up to the plate. She was my class' sixth grade homeroom teacher as well as our math teacher for three years. During the second year she also became our principal. She managed to balance the life of a mother of two, being the head of a school, and being our teacher that we could lean on. She was one of the only teachers that really valued my class and I deeply appreciate her work ethic and passion for her job. Thank you, Ms. Do!

Ms. Do deserves to have her contract renewed. She has accomplished so much in her time as principal. She had the entire school renovated, and the play ground and field replaced, and she was able to get air conditioning in all the classrooms. (We begged for air conditioning for over 10 years!) Ms. Do did all of this because she had the children's best interest in mind. All these years the children were burning up in class through heat waves and expected to learn. From personal experience she knew this was a struggle. Ms. Do isn't just a principal, she has her 20+ years of experience as a teacher at St. Linus to guide her, and her experience as a St. Linus parent as well. She was an exceptional teacher, one of my daughters favorites. She taught middle school grades, and she was one of the teachers that stuck out because you could tell that she cared for her students. During the pandemic she stepped in as principal and still taught classes. She's a problem solver and she's proven she's more than capable for this position. We need to prioritize the children's best interest and keep Ms. Do as principal.

Ms. Do has been an EXCEPTIONAL principal for the past few years! In her short amount of time as Principal, she has accomplished so much! She has completely revitalized the school grounds and is constantly looking for ways to better the school academically and spiritually. As a very involved school parent, I know her departure would be detrimental to the future of the school. It is baffling and very sad that this is not obvious to those in charge. We can’t lose her! Our community will be heartbroken and devastated if we do.
