Can't believe this change was done without consultation. The new system is inferior, can't search by name and very difficult to verify addresses.

We need GeoWarehouse back asap...who makes these decisions without considering all the negative impact on the agents? This was not thought through and the decision needs to be reversed.

It is most essential that we get GeoWarehouse back in original format. NOW !

• Buyer wants to buy a house in a neighbourhood where he has heard that Toronto Community Housing Corporation (or ANY other entity) owns several properties within a few blocks. This concerns my client for whatever reason that he’s entitled to have. Can I now tell him for sure that no properties within a 3 block radius are owned by said organization? No! I can’t do a name search any more. So my alternatives are a) to lie to my client that I’ve done a check, b) search a few hundred properties, one by one on MPAC and then lie to get the PANS (maximum 10 per day) and then tell my client a few weeks later the results, or c) tell my client that I can’t search for that because TREB is smarter than me and in their infinite wisdom they took my invaluable research tool away from me, or d) tell my Buyer to sign a Buyer Rep Agreement with a Royal LePage agent, since they have cobbled together a thousand+ members to keep Geowarehouse for $16 a month each, and they will be able to do a more professional job for him. Oh joy, oh rapture unforeseen!

This is terrible for so many reasons; I could fill a few pages, but here are just a few: • I have a buyer interested in a condo; he asks me if anything is going to be constructed on the lot next door that might block his view. Now I have to lie to access a PAN which might be a year out-of-date just to glimpse a property owner’s name on a potentially out-of-date record, before I start my research for him. Nice. Jack Ridout

One of the biggest objections that I have with the MPAC database is the necessity for me, an 11-year TREB member to LIE. Yes, we are now put in the position that to do our work, we’ll have to lie just to be able to view a property owner’s name! We’re supposed to already have a signed listing agreement to get the PAN (Property Assessment Notice). I listened to TREB’s webinar before the February 1st switch and Jason Mercer from TREB tried to smooth this over by saying we could get up to 10 PANs per day – but right on the MPAC site it clearly states the restriction. And elsewhere, I read that TREB members’ usage of requested PANS would be MONITORED to make sure the use was “legitimate” Jack Ridout

The propertyline user interface is awful!! Slow to load, and a few times I have just given up. Nice!

I have tried to utilize the MPAC product and it very clearly is significantly inferior to Geowarehouse. Many aspects of a simple search to establish a property value are absent and while I am told by TREB there are plans in place to modify the MPAC system what do I sell my clients now when they ask for an evaluation! BRING BACK GEOWAREHOUSE IMMEDIATELY!!!

I was informed by an employee at TREB that the ownership information would be accessible on the property line site. However I have now been informed that this is not the case. That information is extremely important to my work as well as the mapping of properties which is also not available on the property line site. Please reinstate Geowareehouse immediately as the property line site is no where near the same.

the new system would be ok as a companion piece to geowarehouse, but falls way short as a replacement
