We, the undersigned, do petition the Board of Trustees and/or the other responsible parties of Duke University to rename "Cameron Indoor Stadium". We feel that the current student body has lost touch with the origins of the name "Cameron", that being early Duke head coach Eddie Cameron, and for an institution of such great significance to the student body we feel that the facility should have a name to match. Current coach Mike Krzyzewski has been recognized for his many accomplishments inside this facility by having the court floor named in his honor. It seems only fitting that the entire building should also be named by someone who has worked to build a legend there and shaped the history of Duke basketball forever. In light of recent developments, we, the undersigned, submit that Cameron Indoor Stadium be renamed "Hansbrough House". This would give honor to a player who has consistently demonstrated the highest level of achievement inside the facility, while bringing out the best in himself and his teammates at every opportunity. Furthermore, it would honor the physical sacrifice made by Tyler Hansbrough at the hands of a very poor decision made by an opposing player on the court inside this facility. Finally, it stays in line with the Duke tradition of naming "Houses" after individuals who have contributed significantly to the culture and climate of Duke University.
