Dear Interim Dean Brunnée,

Thank you for your services to Faculty of Law at the University of Toronto. The student body has utmost confidence in your wisdom and skills to run and enhance this institution during your tenure.

Recently, you informed us that the monthly morning-coffee-and-goodies giveaway at the Faculty will be named “Brunnée’s Bakery”. This is a fine choice. Fortunately, a law student found a superior name for the event! It is "Brunnée’s crème brûlée melee". It's really good because it rhymes and it's a total mouthful! We, the undersigned, request that you rename this event accordingly. After all, this event is put on for students, and therefore we believe students should be able to contribute to its proper name.

As said, your original choice was fine. But we believe the students of this institution deserve the high caliber of naming quality that we can come up with. Indeed, we believe that Brunnée’s crème brûlée melee will be a hallmark of your tenure, along with the other feats that you will undoubtedly accomplish. You may be aware that student input has been ignored on a number of issues at the law school, and we earnestly hope that you have the compassion to accept our input on this light but deeply important matter.
