A person that has dedicated so much time and has had a positive impact on so many students, deserves to be honored by naming a building in his name.

My brother in law Sonny had a positive impact on many people throughout his life. Changing the band hall name to his name will surely keep his memory alive.

Mr. Rosa never forgot any of the band students. I was not a percussion student and he still always made a point to say hello when he saw me after graduating! He will be greatly missed!!!!!

I think this is a fantastic idea, and I pray the board takes it into serious consideration, it would mean a lot to the students!

Anyone that dedicated so many years to such a program deserves to be remembered for the icon he was for this band program.

As a former mcallen high school graduate and band member I had the honor of having Mr Rosa as one of my band directors. Dedicated and hard working. Great memories and he should be honored for his contributions.

Mr. Rosa was an amazing teacher who cared for each and every one of his students both past and present. I was in band all 4 years of high school and led the band as a drum major during my senior year of high school, 1996-1997. During that time, I was able to witness first-hand the gift that Mr Rosa had to give each student a slice of goodness in their day through humor or simply a kind word. We are all lucky to have crossed paths with Mr. Rosa. Naming the band hall after Mr. Rosa would be the perfect way to honor the teacher who dedicated his life to his calling and made such an impression on all of us students who were lucky to have crossed paths with him.
