people like this are the problem.....they try to hide behind their position by using personal opinion like discrimination to appear like its okay because the police chief said it was. Toss him and all other self righteous politicians and police.

as an active member of the royal british legion riders branch, vice president and member of the canadian legion of riders, and the newly formed royal canadian legion cavaliers legion riders, i take great offence in hagarty telling me i can't support and remember those who made a decision to fight for my freedom. i've been riding for going on almost 50 years and not only on nov 11, but every day of the year do i remember and thank our veterans for my privaleged and happy life for well over 60 years. some of us here in the battlefords sk. have a patch on our vests that state, "if you can't stand behind your troops, stand in front of them". John, if your to cowardly to stand in front of a veteran who was or is willing to die for you, i will gladly dig you a hole so you can crawl in and hide, and i will have lots of help... tw "buff" mcgovern nb ford sask...

Mr. Hagarty exemplifies the very abuses our veterans, past and present, fought against. This tin pot tyrant should be removed from his post forthwith! That the Legion wouldn't stand up to him saddens me greatly.

I don't give a damn if he is the police chief. No one...I repeat...NO ONE has the right to tell the Royal Canadian Legion that they can't lay wreaths at the Remembrance Day Ceremonies. And it is the judgement of the organizers of the parade as to who is involved in it...NOT the police chief...let alone be able to do it 2 years in a row. Hagarty should be force to resign AND publicly apologize to all parties involved. I feel sorry for Branch 67 Royal Canadian Legion and the Kawartha Charity Riders. As someone who's grandfather was Branch 28 Legion member in Chatham and who has uncles that ride motorcycles, I sincerely hope that this situation is rectified for you all...and soon.

Bullying, and totally disrespectful to our veterans and those who wish to pay homage to them. Next time I hope the Legion chooses "them". Hagarty can easily be replaced.
