i think the riders along with the community need to stand up to the chief and come together in numbers and join in the ceremony and see if he is a man of his word and doesn't show up. then he will look like a bigger ass than he is making himself now.....

I'm a 20 year vet who by the way rides a Ultra classic HD, who felt the pain of loosing fellow comrades in arms, through NATO and UN missions. And proudly wear my ( biker ) vest that holds my medals I've earned on the front and proudly wear a patch on my back that unites brothers in arms who ride, support the community and veterans at every oppertunity not just on rememberance day but everyday.

As an Officer with over 30 years service I am amazed that you are a Chief - I am ashamed that you would dishonor our VETS in such a way and suggest that you take a job as a City Trash collector - no just resign I don't want to offend any City workers by having you in their presence.

Shame Shame John Hagarty obviously your too full of yourself to take note of the true meaning of Remembrance Day. Your way of life is what it is because of Veterans and many of those brave men and women ride motorcycles in fact motorcycles played huge rolls during war time. Perhaps the Legion folks should seriously remind you and knock you off your self made pedestal!

There is no place in this country for discrimination of any type. If a soldier that has been living on the streets came dressed in rags to the service to honour his brothers and sisters would be turn him away? I think not he has earned that right with his blood and his sacrifice. So too have the soldiers dressed in leather.

My brother a decorated war veteran and grandfather who was a decorated war veteran are both and proud bikers. This is disgraceful act by this police chief please do the right thing and remove this loser... he doesn't represent the people or the good of vets or motorcyclists.

I think they were very respectful in wearing their leathers. Just because they aren't wearing the same clothes as you are doesn't make them less. We teach children in school not to judge others by what they wear.
