I would have thought that a Chief would know not to paint with a wide brush calling all M/C riders as outlaw bikers. this group is charity based and some are veterans trying to show respect on Remembrance Day. The Chief does not have his eye on the game.

John Hagarty's views and attitude is the reason my generation lost respect for authority. Let's teach this guy a lesson.

Its just wrong , a vet who has served our country putting their lives at risk for our freedom should NOT be denied their right to participate in Rememberance Day Cerimonies !

I am the proud wife of a retired member of the Canadian Forces. My husband served 23 years in both the Army & Navy.
We are both proud members of the Veteran's U.N. NATO affiliation.
We are both bikers.
How DARE you believe that you are above the law? You are voted into office to uphold the law, not break it! We have every right to attend Remembrance Day services. Perhaps even MORE right to attend than YOU.
I suggest you either resign from office or offer the public an official apology for your hateful behavior.
Apparently, you Sir, have forgotten what the Vets fought for. One being the right to assemble & two, the right of freedom of expression.
As bikers (& Vets) we have the right to assemble at ANY Remembrance Day ceremony & we have the right to express the fact that we are BIKERS.
As bikers, we do more to help our communities than you cold ever do in office, because we are not bound by corporate greed, like you are. As Veterans, we believe in honor. Apparently, Sir, you have forgotten the meaning of the word.
Have a good day Sir.
I will be awaiting that public apology, or will I be reading about your resignation?
Without prejudice,
Sincerely yours,
Tanya. MacBean

Police are supposed to protect the constituency but with a mentality like John Hagarty's anyone riding a bike can never feel safe.

It is disgraceful conduct to exclude any group that supports our veterans in a respectful & appropriate manner. To Chief Hagarty... Ok, it's you!

People like Police Chief John Hagarty do not belong in the position that he holds. It is our voices that get him removed from this position...that is OUR RIGHT in this great nation of OURS!!!

I was going to start off by saying shame on you for your bigoted, discriminatory attitude, but that's not fair. Police Chief Hagarty your just ignorant and stupid. Ignorant in your intolerance of anything but what "you" deem appropriate, and stupid in that you are not willing to learn. People with your nature do not belong in a position of power as a leader, you probably take orders very well and do as your told when your superiors give you an order. It takes a wise man to lead, and your just not qualified. I feel sorry for you, but to be a police chief requires a quality you will probably never acquire, and that Mr. Hagarty is wisdom.
