This IMDB DOB has ruined me. My X girlfriend knew I was sensitive about my age because in "SHOW-BIZ" it can effect you. Every time i meet people they look me up there. It is to the point where i do not mention that i'm an actor, because people actually look you up and see that IMDB AGE! Even if you are a male, age is still a factor from this shallow younger is always better business. What is especially not fair, is that some semi-famous actors ages are not revealed. But little old struggling day player union actor's like me are screwed! BTW (SAG-AFTRA) is a complete joke. They have ignorant, unprofessional, incompetent, imbeciles working up there in the new media department. BTW, I highly doubt this petition will do anything, because these IMDB people are all about money & they do not give damn period unless it effects their bottom-line. Spread this and make it 20-50 thousand signatures just for awareness. GL People!

Having your age appear on IMDB is not necessary!! As actors we rely on our looks and talent to acquire roles. We do not need casting, producers or directors passing us up because we are not ther right age for a specific role! We PAY IMDB so they should accomodate US.

I don't mind telling my age...but those in the entertainment industry should NOT have their birth dates known unless they are Betty White.

It is absolutely refi colobus and ancient that this site has not done this change yet. If this doesn't happen I will wait for the day that another company creates a better data base and this company goes into shambles. Absolutely unacceptable that one inputs his birthdate decades ago, naively, and can't remove it once he realizes this is in essence his resume!

IMDB is not the DMV and should not be allowed to make public someone's private information. Putting someone's age and birthdate on IMdB is a huge reason for jobs being lost from crew members all the way to top billing. In the entertainment business that is so fickle and ageist it should be mandatory to keep that info private.

I am very upset that IMDB has exposed everyone's age & birthdate. They even have the wrong date for me. This is an invasion of privacy & limits work for all actors who look younger than their age. I wrote them several letters asking them to remove these details & they answered back that they "couldn't'. I hope all actors stand together & sign this.

I look physically younger than I really am which has helped me in some cases but sometimes when people find out my age I have lost jobs because of it.

Many clients are not happy with the release of this information especially when it's a young mans business. It puts limitations on the actor.

IMDB is horrible. They don't care that they can destroy an actor's career and livlihood, especially women. This industry is much harder on women as they age. If an actor choose to not have their birthday listed, that is THEIR RIGHT!! With all the identity theft out there, this puts you more at risk. I am disgusted with IMDB. They are awful people and should be ashamed of themselves.

IMDB is putting people at risk of identity theft and job discrimination. I can't believe that they will not remove my birthdate from the site. I don't know how they got it in the first place. I never allowed them to put my personal information up there.
