Remove of course. But do not destroy, place in a special section of a museum titled hall of shame or a specific place that educates. Replace with images of a proud black person, dressed in the professional’s clothing of the period shaking Lincoln’s hand. The black person must be as tall as Lincoln of course. Back drop should be a classic American symbol of equality, such as the constitution, bill of rights , emancipation proclamation etc.

This statue is 100% inappropriate. My first thought when I saw it was why isn’t the black man standing? Make a new statue showing the black man shaking hands with Lincoln as an equal. I think Lincoln would have wanted it that way.

Brilliant idea, that is OBVIOUSLY long overdue. I’m actually shocked as a Bostonian, that this hasn’t been brought to the forefront decades ago!! A+ Tory!!!

Things that shouldn't have been erected in the first place...this doesn't show equality.

If it is a racist depiction for anyone then it is not a monument that serves all. Take it down.

Totally makes sense to either change the monument or remove it!

This statue does not represent "Black lives matter". Thanks President Lincoln we know your role in abolishing slavery. It is now time to focus on equality. Please take this down.
