This statue is symbolic of our racist history, and it perpetuates that harmful history by standing as a model for all to admire. We must recognize our literal wrongdoings and act accordingly by taking this statue down.

Having never been to Boston, I can't imagine having to see this. It's offensive on so many levels I don't know where to begin but a black man on his knees in front of a white man occurred countless times during slavery, but on his knees before the so-called 'great emancipator' is the continuation of racism in amerikkka and solidifies the belief that newly emancipated black men, women and children may be 'free', but will never be equal. It needs to go ASAP.
