They are encouraging cars to accelerate faster once over the bumps which then causes problems for the cars trying to get around the road island at the 30mph

Let's get them removed.
They do not work, saw someone doing 40mph between the bumps.
Money well spent there!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree, these bumps are really harsher enough if you slow right down below 20

As per a lot of other comments from signers, these are too extreme for such a village. Not only are they causing damage to vehicles they are affecting local residents, which Im sure was not the reason for installing them...

Traffic control in Rampton is shocking. Worst use of funds I've seen in a long time. Whoever signed these measures off needs sacking. It's a bloody joke!

These speed bumps are far to 'harsh'. and unforgiving. A number of BMW's and Mercedes with larger alloy wheels are already suffering from cracked wheels caused by speed bumps. (many reports on internet) If at more or less a standstill my car wheels are creaking as I navigate these Rampton speed bumps. Years ago the parish council asked village residents their opinion about High Street speed reducing measures including speed humps, this was a proposition proposed jointly by CCC & Atkins (the contractor who was going to pick up a very nice £100,000 contract!) The scheme was rejected by a large majority of the village. On a similar note, the 'new' single lane entry points to the village are both placed far too near 'blind' corners and eventually will lead to a head on crash. I'm not against traffic calming, however both projects appear to have been commissioned without thought as to any potential consequences.

I think they are not brilliant and i have had problems with my hip and these are not helping and could seriously damage cars

We have already had damage to our car through potholes but the speed ramps in Rampton could also do the same and knock the wheel alignment out. The bumps are too wide to straddle and protrude more than any other in this area

Every time I go over these bumps, I worry what they are doing to my car. They must be very loud for the the residents near by!
Not needed
