I have to use this road on a daily basis commuting to work and feel that these speed bumps are inappropriate and poorly positioned (on or just after a bend), causing a danger to road users. Drivers are having to slow down to an almost stand still to negotiate them in a way to not cause damage to the car. Causing a higher risk of collision. This road is a 30mph speed limit, not a 5-10mph speed limit!!! This does not seems to affect larger vehicles such as lorries and vans which continue to travel at which ever speed they like. I have even been overtaken by a van while negotiating the speed bumps. They are very poorly sign posted and only with temporary signage, which is also missing at some points. Also due to the slowing down and speed in up of cars, I am sure this is becoming an issue for the local residents due to the increased noise pollution and fumes being created. These speed bumps have created more and worse issues than they have solved and should be removed. Other traffic calming measures are available and should be considered if necessary.

Awfull bumps cant go over 10 mph. Living in rampton i know its only a matter of time before i need repairs on my car. Also i have nearly crashed twice going out rhe village when people are speeding around the traffic island. Why put these on a blind bend !!!! Fuming. There were no crashes before these measures were bought in. I guarentee there will be more now!!!

The ramps are dangerous and will without doubt cause damage to suspension tyres and othe parts of vehicles including those travelling at the disignated lawful speeds. Not to mention the probability of motor cyclists being dismounted by the high sided bumps. I am suprised or may be not that the dangerous installation of these humps will leave the relative planners vunerable to more waste of tax payers money to pay for litigation at Court when sued for damages by owners of vehicles who clearly and justifiably have a claim for repairs..
Bring back common sense to those empowered to look after the interests of the general public.

Dangerous, causes severe damage to vehicle tyres and springs. Perhaps Rampton PC would like to pay compensation to everyone who has damage to their cars. Difficult to know what it is they are trying to achieve. The traffic calming at both ends of the village are also dangerous, both on blind corners. No logic to any of it. Sutton PC removed their traffic calming as it caused more problems and again, no logic as to what it was trying to achieve.

Completely useless, over the top and not even in a suitable location to stop speeding through the village. After negotiating these speed bumps drivers will simply speed up through the remainder of the village.

I have just spent £340 on a pair of new front tyres and a wheel alignment following a rapid deflation of a front tyre just after crossing these bumps at around 25 mph. What are my chances of getting compensation from the council or highways department, do you think?

What's the point in having speed humps that only affect certain vehicles? 4x4s, vans, lorries can span the humps so do not reduce their speed. Also, who thought putting traffic calming chicanes on blind corners was a good idea!

Totally inappropriate. You have to come to almost a standstill to pass over them without risking long term damage to your car. Frustrated drivers are then more likely to speed through the rest of the village.
