Thursday night September 15th Megan Rapinoe took a knee during the National Anthem, this is something that she has done/tried to do several times in he past few weeks for her club team (soccer) in support of Colin Kaepernick's kneeling protest during his NFL football games.
It is one thing to try to hijack a club event with our protests and disrespect to the flag, at that end it is up to the commissioners and owners of each team/league to decide how they want their teams represented. This however was a far different story as Megan was on the field representing the United States National Team. She was literally wearing an embodiment of the flag on her chest and colors on her uniform. Any action she takes in that uniform is representative of the flag and her country. As military representatives proudly sang our anthem she kneeled, disrespecting each and every one of them, along with all of those who have fought and died for those very same colors.
This is unacceptable, there are thousands of women around the country who would go to great lengths to be in Rapinoe's position, as she uses it for a political soap box rater than proudly representing her country. There is no place for this on one of our National teams.
In the media these days it seems the only people who get their voices heard are those who make a stand to tear down, disrespect or disrupt. As PROUD, LOYAL and RESPECTFUL Americans I urge you to take this time to make YOUR voice heard. To let everyone know that there are some of us out there who are PROUD to be an American, and are PROUD of what our flag and our colors stand for. It's time to let OUR voices be heard!

I am disgusted by a person that is suppose to represent me (a United States citizen) being allowed to disrespect this country. Hope Solo got suspended for disrespecting Sweden... But evidently it is OK for Rapinoe to disrespect the United States.

It’s a shame the narcissist in him has allowed him to make this all about him. He shouldn’t be allowed to represent America and Americans, especially when Americans DON’T want him representing our country and wearing our colors.
If she's going to represent our country then she needs to behave as a patriot and citizen of our country.

Not only does she continue to disrespect the flag she is supposed to be representing when accepting a spot on this team, she is given the captain's band. She doesn't even deserve to be riding the bench for Team USA, let alone be the nation's key leader when she spits on this nation every chance she gets. Life ban.
